Originally from Bulgaria, Nadia has lived in the United States for nearly fifteen years. Her interest in international communications originally developed during her extensive travels throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and the United States and her learning (to various degrees) English, Italian, French, Spanish and Russian languages. Nadia's passion for intercultural communications was deepened by her multicultural experience while attending college and by her in-depth academic research on the subject during her BA and MBA studies. Today, her consulting practice continues to be supported by her meticulous research, her previous working experience in Bulgaria, Switzerland, and the United States, and her frequent travels.

Nadia has applied her intercultural expertise throughout her career as a marketing and sales consultant at PaySys International, Inc., a financial software company with clients in over 60 countries. There, she was instrumental in developing the company's first customer support web site and Intranet, and in many business development cycles with clients from France, Italy, Poland and other countries. A trained technical writer, Nadia has also managed multiple documentation projects and served as the in-house localization advisor for PaySys. Some of her other clients include Iris Phone, an Internet video-telephony company, where, as a consultant, she served as the editor, writer and marketing advisor for the company's web site; MM-Art, a gaming company; and several individual clients with whom she worked on legal and real estate translations to and from Italian, Bulgarian and English.

Nadia Ballard has published articles on intercultural communications for various newsletters and given presentations on the subject at the Annual STC Conference for the Southeastern region, the University of Central Florida, the Orlando chapter of the Society for Technical Communications, Shanghai University of Science and Technology and others.
